Paula Dadd
Profile
After graduating from Centennial College with Honours in 1978, Paula joined Torkin Manes working primarily with senior litigation counsel and founding partner, Ronald D. Manes.
Paula has been credited with designing many of the forms which appear in Manes Organized Advocacy, A Manual for Litigation Practitioners, originally published by Carswell in 1983.
Paula is currently a senior law clerk in the firm’s Litigation Group. She has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, including assisting in the management of complex and catastrophic medical negligence, personal injury and occupiers’ liability matters. Paula’s involvement includes conducting investigations and analyzing medical documentation, documentary discovery and production, witness interviews and liaising with medical professionals and expert witnesses. She has also played an integral role in the preparation of numerous trials, appeals and assessments at all levels, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
In 2017, Paula was awarded the 2017 OTLA Distinguished Law Clerk Award. The Ontario Trial Lawyer's Association (OTLA) Distinguished Law Clerk Award is awarded to a senior law clerk, with at least 5 years membership in the OTLA Law Clerks Section, who has consistently exemplified the mission of the organization.
