Overview
Daniel Stober will be speaking at an Advance Care Planning in Canada webinar titled, "Advance Care Planning: Know Your Rights" on September 28, 2021.
Advance Care Planning is a process of reflection and communication in which people express their wishes for their future health and/or personal care if they could not speak for themselves.
But what does advance care planning mean for Canadians from a legal perspective?
The results of a recent national poll commissioned by the Advance Care Planning in Canada initiative told us that while 12% of Canadians have spoken to their lawyer about their care wishes (up 7% from 2019), Canadians still lack understanding of the advance care planning process.
To coincide with the release of the 2021 national poll and our updated resource Living Well Planning Well: An Advance Care Planning Resource for Accessing Your Rights, this FREE one-hour, live and interactive webinar will cover:
- An overview of advance care planning and how it fits into the life planning model
- Understanding your rights in the advance care planning process from a national and provincial/territorial perspective
- The benefits of involving your lawyer in the advance care planning process
