Lorne Wolfson to teach "Issues in Mediation-Arbitration", a special program of the National Family Law Arbitration Course

Announcing the NFLAC special program, "Issues in Mediation-Arbitration"

Issues in Mediation-Arbitration is a single-day program to be held by videoconference on Friday May 13th, 2022. This program is focused on the unique ethical and practical issues in providing med-arb services in family law disputes.

Topics to be discussed include: 

• Drafting and enforcing participation clauses in separation agreements
• Drafting participation agreements
• Options for mediation-arbitration processes
• Managing family violence concerns in mediation-arbitration processes
• Transitioning between mediation and arbitration
• Ethical considerations in mediation-arbitration

Two panels will take a deeper dive into ethical considerations and do's and don’ts in med-arb processes.

Faculty includes Wayne Barkauskas QC, Dr. Rachel Birnbaum, John-Paul Boyd QC, Herschel Fogelman, Aaron Franks, Cheryl Goldhart, Arlene Henry QC, Gary Joseph, Daniel Melamed, Doug Moe QC, Krysta Ostwald QC, Lawrence Pinsky, Brahm Siegel and Lorne Wolfson.

The cost of the program is $300 for members of ADRIC and its provincial affiliates, including ADRIO, and members of BCPCRS, FAMLI, FDRIO FMC, MediateBC or OAFM, and $350 for non-members.
