Matt Maurer to speak at the Global Meetings Industry Day in Toronto
Overview
Matt Maurer of our Cannabis Law Group will be speaking at the Global Meetings Industry Day on April 4th in Toronto. Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) brings together leaders from across the meetings and events industry to showcase the real impact that business meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive travel, trade shows and exhibitions have on people, business and communities.
Matt will be speaking on a panel moderated by Jonathan Hiltz, featuring Jay Rosenthal, Dela Kumapley, and Tony Priolo. This panel will take place from 9:45 am to 10:55 am.
With the recent legalization of cannabis in Canada, there is no denying that the topic of cannabis at events is a growing discussion. The panel will be discussing potential risks and opportunities that the legalization of cannabis can and will bring to the events industry in 2019 and beyond.
