Matt Maurer Quoted in the Ottawa Citizen on marketing practices of licensed producers
Overview
Matt Maurer, Cannabis Law Group Vice-Chair, was quoted today in the Ottawa Citizen in its article “Cannabis companies ramp up marketing as Health Canada warns them not to advertise pot”.
The article discusses a variety of activities that have been undertaken by licensed producers which may be viewed by some as promotional, as well as steps that Health Canada has taken in the recent past in response to certain conduct.
Matt noted that, in his opinion, it would be in everyone’s best interest if Health Canada would provide clear guidance on what is allowed and not allowed in terms of marketing and promotion.
