Sidney Troister elected Bencher of The Law Society of Upper Canada

Torkin Manes is pleased to congratulate Sidney Troister on being elected by his peers as a Bencher of The Law Society of Upper Canada.
Sidney continues a long tradition of leadership for Torkin Manes in the governance of lawyers in Ontario. Ron Manes was elected a Bencher in 1986 and re-elected four more time for a total of 5 terms as an elected bencher. He became a Life Bencher in 2010 and has served almost 30 years as a Bencher. Additionally, Laurie Pawlitza was elected Bencher and served as Treasurer of the Law Society.
Sidney will serve as one of 20 benchers from within Toronto for the 2015-2019 term. Benchers help set policy and assist with many other matters related to the governance of Ontario’s lawyers and paralegals.
