Adam Black is a partner and the Chair of Torkin Manes’ Family Law Group, where he represents clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, parenting, property, support and domestic contracts. Adam’s practice often involves high net worth clients with complex financial and jurisdictional issues. He acts on behalf of clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings, as well as before the courts at both trial and appellate levels. As an extension of his practice, in 2020, he was appointed a Dispute Resolution Officer of the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto and is a trained Mediator. Adam is ranked in Family/Matrimonial: High Net Worth (Band 3).
A partner in our firm’s Family Law Group, Daniel Melamed is a Certified Specialist in Family Law by the Law Society of Ontario, as well as an experienced, sought-after family law mediator and arbitrator. His traditional family law practice has evolved over the years and now focuses primarily on arbitration and mediation, where he assists family law lawyers and their clients, including high net worth clients to resolve often high conflict and multi-jurisdictional matters in the most sensible, efficient and private manner. Daniel is ranked in Family/Matrimonial: High Net Worth (Band 1).
Craig Vander Zee is a partner in our Trusts & Estates and Litigation Groups, with a practice that encompasses all manner of estate, trust, capacity, fiduciary and power of attorney disputes and litigation for clients consisting of individuals, trust companies, government agencies and other organizations. Craig is also a very experienced Estate Mediator and is a Certified Specialist in Estates and Trusts Law by the Law Society of Ontario. Craig is ranked in Private Wealth Disputes (Band 1).
